The main character witnesses his wife being assaulted in that manner before he gets anything done to him. in the other games, there were a lot of gruesome scenes, too.

Not saying it's ok, but the simple fact that in the game its a "woman raping a man" make it more tolerable. I believe I have more of a feminism side in most scenarios, but when it came to rape, it feels a lot more "wrong" if it's a man sexualy assaulting a woman than if it's a woman sexualy assaulting a man. That said, for some reason reading the scene didn't shock me for the simple fact that the sexual violence was made by a female creature forcing sex into the male protagonist. but if she gets raped, I feel like my anger would be beyond control and I might take the matter on my own hands and end up doing something stupid. I mean, if I had a daughter for example and she gets murdered, I would let the police handle it and bring justice to the criminal. Genarly I think sexual violence to be worst than any other type of violence.
